What is backline?
Backline is music equipment provided by a venue, festival or event. It is usually limited to amps, mic stands, a basic drum kit, and monitors. A band should bring their own microphones, guitars and cymbals. Backline is mostly provided at festivals and events hosting a multiband bill. Providing backline helps the event stay on time and have quick load in and load out of bands.
