Name recognition is in the most unexpected places….

Write a show review or an article for a website or magazine. Call first and ask if the publication or online site accepts submissions by freelancers. Your byline should have your name and your band’s name in it. Example: Steve Roadie is the singer in the ska band Your Loving Wife. Visit Steve at (enter your website).

Who better to review shows than someone who intimately understands them? Contact websites, review outlets, or even your local newspaper and ask about becoming a reviewer for shows or cds. Maybe you could create a question and answer column about becoming a musician.  Having the concept of musician attached to your name is priceless.
