Book Your Band – Step 9
9. Get family priorites in order. Make sure your relationship with your significant other is solid. It’s difficult to have relationship issues up close and personal, much less when you are far away from home. Factor in distance, the temptations of club environments and money issues into an unsteady personal relationship and it’s a recipe for disaster. Inform your significant other of your tour schedule, plans and days off. Be sure, if joint finances are an issue, that you have covered your part of the bills before you leave town. Stay in touch via phone or internet with your significant other. Send small gifts from the road. Postcards and heartfelt letters cost pennies to send. Invest in your meaningful relationships, especially when you are touring.
