Book Your Band- The “Office”
Don’t fret if you lack a space for a proper launch pad. Any space will do as long as it’s well equipped and functional, and fairly removed from distraction. Sometimes a devoted corner of a kitchen countertop with a stool has to do, sometimes a folding table placed in a livingroom nook becomes a launch pad. Sometimes, though it’s not advisable, the only place you can get any peace is your bedroom, particularly for those of us who rent rooms instead of houses or apartments or those of us who have large families. If a bedroom becomes your only private work area, try to steer away from using your bed as a desk or sitting in bed to work. Beds are for sleeping and resting and should be far removed from work. A workspace behind a folding screen helps you divide your sleeping area from a work area. If there is no option for a folding screen, cover your work area with a sheet when it’s time to call it a day. Think of the sheet as the “closed” sign for your office and for yourself. Booking your band is hard work and will entail alot of time, energy and effort. Don’t exhaust yourself. Mentally and physically close yourself for business after a resonable work day.
