Musicians and Health-clutter clearing

hosta-shoots-001This is a photo of my hosta plants in the front yard. I was reminded of this photo when I started writing this post today. A month ago these hosta were the tiny shoots you see above. Today they are big green leafy  monsters!

Fortunately, I thinned the shoots when they were babies and moved them around to different beds in my yard. Thinning the shoots left the hosta plenty of room to grow and flourish.

Clutter can creep up on us and get out of control very quickly depriving us of growth and stunting our ability to flourish.  For people who spend most of their time away from a home environment, that home, the place we go to rest, recharge and restore, can become a jungle if we don’t take time to address, clean and clear clutter.

We travel in vans and spend time in hotel rooms that can become petri dishes as well if we’re not careful.

Address clutter on all levels. Take an objective look around your environments today and be mindful of trash, unkempt clothing, dirty dishes and other varieties of clutter. Make an effort to simply throw things away and keep a fresh environment.  Daily clean the van. Be mindful of your backstage area and keep it clear and free of clutter.

Clutter can dam the flow of conducive creativity in your environment.  Do something about it NOW!

    You are quite right!

Clutter is nothing but a distraction and detracts from the creative process.

And traveling musicians tend to create clutter! Whether it’s at home, hotel room or backstage. I really believe keeping envirmonments free and clean and clear helps the flow. Thank you for coming by to say hello!
