April 13, 2010-Authentic Success
“When we cherish our dream and then invest love, creative energy, perseverance, and passion in ourselves, we will achieve an authentic success.” – Sarah Ban Breathnatch
Success is a wiggly word. It’s often defined as money in the bank, new cars, fancy homes, vanity items and prestige. On the other end of the spectrum, success means sustainability, relying on intelligence and creativity to create income, living off grid, and financial freedom. Success is often confused with wealth, unconscious consumption of goods and resources and, as we’ve seen lately, an erosion of morals.
A personal definition of success is imperative as we encounter an increasingly confusing world. Circumstances, financial and otherwise, often distract us from our true mission. We should focus on encouraging hope and providing inspiration in our daily pursuit of success, leaving monetary gain at the door of least effort. If we strive constantly for cash, prestige and notoriety, our authenticity, our genuine link to our soul’s dream, dissipates.
What’s your definition of success? Write it down. Are those items and goals valid, meaningful and authentic? Why does this version of success resonate with you?
A meaningful workable definition of success can keep us aligned with proper thinking and authentic achievement.
