Music Nomad’s Open Studio feature quickly connects musicians and rehearsal studios nationwide

Rand Rognlien, Chief Musician’s Advocate at Music Nomad noticed a trend not long ago. Twenty percent of the musicians utilizing the encyclopedic information at the site were looking for studio space. Inquiries were from touring professionals as well as garage bands looking to get out of the garage.

“We have over 250 studios listed on our site.” remarked Rognlien.”And we’ve researched every one to make sure it’s a legitimate business. Many studios are listed on sites like craigslist, but we’re the only site that goes the extra step to insure our musicians are dealing with reputable companies.”

Recognizing a true need, Rognlien developed Open Studio, a new live application that launched at http://openstudio.musicnomad.com

“Musicians can register for free and search for studios by city or zip code. They’ll also be able to sort by cost, availability, distance, parking and 24/7 access.”

Studios will also be able to load information on to the site when they register.

“There are over four thousand rehearsal spaces in Southern California alone.” marvels Rognlien. “Imagine the time, effort and energy saved by musicians by simply using Music Nomad’s Open Studio and using our pre-screened options to find information about rehearsal rooms. It’s a great way to continue our mission to help musicians navigate the business so they can focus on being the creative force they are!”
